- Bill Smith was honored by being asked to address the annual meeting of the American College of Trial Lawyers about trial technology in the 21st century. He was the moderator and lecturer at the ACTL's international meeting in Toronto, Canada on September 27, 2008. He was joined by Doug Arnest of Hi Impact of Denver and attorney Nanci Clarence of San Francisco. Mr. Smith's panel shared the stage with Justice Alito of the US Supreme Court and Norman Jewison, the legendary Hollywood director who directed In the Heat of the Night, A Soldier's Story, Fiddler on the Roof and And Justice For All just to name a few of his movies.
- RJ Waldsmith has been honored by being named an author of California's Continuing Education of the Bar's publication entitled California Government Liability. He recently addressed government tort liability at the September 2008 California State Bar Convention.
